BVDzero Award Submission Instructions

Specific Information
Please provide your Clinical Case in a Word or PDF file (font size no larger than 12 point and a maximum of 8 pages (4-5 recommended)). You are free to choose in which language you want to submit.

Outline for Submission

1. Submission form and associated mandatory documents

By uploading the Submission form you agree to be bound by the BVDzero Award terms and conditions. Prior to the final submission of the form on the website, please also read and accept the Data Protection and the User Informed Consent form in the Submission tab.

The submission form is available in tab Submission Form. Please enter the following:
 
  • Clinical Case Title, Name, Organization, Country, E-Mail
  • Upload your Clinical Case, CV (1 page) and letters of recommendation (optional) in the BVDzero Award Upload portal
  • AFTER the upload is finished you will receive a code that has to be copied in the respective field named "code to your data"
  • Accept the Terms & Conditions
  • Accept Data protection & Transfer of Rights
  • Click the "Submit"-Button

2. Clinical Case

You are free to choose how and what you are going to present to our BVDzero Award Committee. Please notice that the committee may consider a variety of factors, including but not limited to the following:

  • The thoroughness of the submission and its information
  • The context of BVD i.e. specific BVD or secondary disease caused by BVD
  • Case selection & significance
  • Clinical findings
  • Quality and relevance of submitted images and video material
  • Presence and Quality of laboratory data
  • Historical information regarding case and farm
  • Discussion of epidemiological relevance of the outbeak
  • Farmer/herd manager interview regarding the case

3. Timelines

Submission Timeline: cases can be submitted until 30.06.2016

Material Review: cases submissions will be reviewed until until 31.07.2016

Award Ceremony: the awards will be presented at the end of November 2016

4. Use of the submitted Material

All information submitted in your Clinical Case including, without limitation, all documents, images, videos, reports, and materials, becomes the property of Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica GmbH upon submission. By signing the attached “Transfer of rights & Warranty”, you unconditionally give all right, title and interest in the Clinical Case and all included materials, to Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health GmbH, and unconditionally grant it the right to use, reproduce, distribute, create copies or derivative works, each in whole or in part, for research, commercial activities and/or promotional activities. Clinical Cases submitted without a properly executed “Transfer of rights & Warranty” will not be considered.
